My 3 Goals As Your Photographer

I've been reflecting on my blog posts since my social media fast. As I've read them, I've noticed common words popping out at me as I've tried to sum up my experience after every session. Words like fun, laughter, joy, and giggles. For someone who's never booked a session with me, I feel some of my readers might be thinking that what I write might not be accurate. That I can't be having that much fun every session or that I just sound good on digital paper.

Well, brace yourselves. I am going to shed some light on what it's like to book a session with me. Here are my 3 goals as your photographer:

1. Dependable Communication - From the first time we chat scheduling your session to the delivery of your photos, I will communicate with you so that your experience is what you want it to be. Once you are scheduled, I double-check and tell you about the location, weather, and any other details that might effect the big day, as well as, answer any questions or concerns you may have in the meantime. After your session, you'll get that exciting email no later than a week after our session that you're pictures are done and ready for immediate download.

2. Build a Friendship - I learn everyone's names and find common interests with all my clients. The more you tell me about you and your family, the better I can shape the posing and candid interactions I capture on camera. Tell me about your favorite movie and we can quote it up. Or what Hogwarts house you would be sorted into. Or your fun family traditions. Openness leads to trust. Trust grows confidence. Confidence brings genuine smiles and those beautiful pictures you've been wanting. I am also a big supporter of laughter. I am not above shaking my booty to get kids to laugh or even pulling a funny face as I pop out from behind my camera. Laughter relaxes us to living in the moment. Throughout the session, I'll do my best to get a giggle or two so everyone can walk away feeling like they had a great, stress-free time.

3. Trust in Me - While it is great fun to laugh and get to know each other, I want you to feel confident in my ability and experience as a photographer. I've taken several classes and invested time and money into becoming capable in my craft. I use what I've learned in every session and I enjoy encouraging your confidence by teaching you facts as well. I will never stop educating and bettering myself, in fact, most of the earnings from my sessions go right back into my business and education. I love to learn, especially about skills that I can use to bless the lives of others.

I believe if I can accomplish these 3 goals in the time we have together, then our session was successful. You'll end up with photos you'll love to cherish forever. I can't wait to work with you!

And, yes, I'm sure my impromptu photo shoot in my backyard was a sight to behold for my neighbors.
