My final photography class finished off with a carnival themed photo session. Our teacher recruited models and props to sell the theme and we were told to click away. I took an unreal amount of pictures because of the level of variety. Here are some of my favorites. I also didn't realize until now but some of these pictures crossed off things from my 40 Photo Challenges list. Huzzah!
We've crossed off...
Week 1 of classes are done. Our focus was on the different types of lighting.
Our teacher wanted us to focus on these forms of lighting while we were taking our pictures. If the day wasn't so overcast yesterday and today, I may have had more variety. Below are 11 of the pictures I took on my way to meeting the goal of 40.
Now let's cross those off...
I am currently taking an Intermediate/Advanced Photography class offered through the Provo Rec Center. I finished the Beginner course back in March and had a blast learning from Danielle Christiansen by participating in her weekly challenges. Completing these challenges helped me apply what I was learning in class and made me a better photographer. I saw a lot of growth and I also had a lot of fun!
Now, this course's challenge has been issued! The goal is to complete as many of them as possible before the course ends in June. Because I was so proud of the progress I made in the Beginner's course, I am going to do my best to take my time and put a lot of effort into each picture. As a way to stay accountable, this lovely blog and my Instagram get to document it all.
I am going to issue a challenge of my own! Anyone that can complete the 40 Photo Challenges by June 30 will be entered into a drawing for a free 30 mini-session. Join me by tagging @richlytakenphotography on your photos so that I can see you're in it to win it! Sound good?
Stay tuned for more updates!
