This was a simple session after Sunday dinner in my in-laws backyard. The lighting in their backyard is so perfect that I don't even need to use my reflector to catch that sparkle. What a bunch of cuties!

Momma?! Why you so pretty? But seriously, my Mom needed new portraits for a new play that she is participating in and she took my breath away. At one point I started to tear up because I thought she was so beautiful, not just on the outside but the inside, too. I will not be blaming pregnancy hormones. I'm proud of my wonderful Momma and all the love and support she gives me. Helping her out was the least I could do.
I was very honored when I was asked to take portraits of this wonderful woman. I had the privilege of serving with her in prep for our church's Girls Camp last year and now, I look up to her so much. Recently, she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and finished her first round of nasty chemo like a champ. Her strength and example of faith is one that I am very grateful to have witnessed. My favorite picture we took is that first one. It is gorgeous and sums up her attitude as she has been going through this amazingly hard trial. My only hope is that one day, I can be as strong as she is.
It's not that I'm biased or anything but this is one good looking man! I'm grateful for such a supportive husband! He's one who doesn't mind being my guinea pig when it come to finding the right lighting on our porch or testing out new equipment. He's the best.
