Location: Mack Park - Smithfield, UT
A lot has changed since COVID came a-knockin'. I moved to Cache Valley and am based up here now. It's a beautiful area and I can't wait to explore the locations this valley has to offer. My new distance didn't stop a lovely family from coming to visit for an updated family session. The last time we were together was in 2020. You can check out their first session with me here. Since then, this cute family has added a handsome guy to the bunch. It was also my first time figuring out a place for us to shoot. Mack Park was perfect! It was wonderful to see you, Sorensens, and see how your cute family has grown!

Location: Vivian Park
This location screamed Christmas! The green pines, white snow, and the red branches. The Berretts braved 3 inches of snow to get lovely festive pictures up behind Vivian Park. They wanted current pictures of their family before they go to clan of 5. It's wonderful to have these memories to remember how cute your babies are. Location: Blacksmith Fork Canyon - Logan, UT
My clan and I spent a day up in Logan before meeting for the Thurston family's session scheduled later in the afternoon. We love Logan and wished we lived closer so we could visit, camp, and play more. Seconds into the canyon, we were in awe of how beautiful the location was. Snow hugging every bush and blanketing the ground. Snow is the perfect reflector to make skin glow. A photographer's heaven. But sometimes things don't go as you plan. Sometimes little ones fall asleep right before you arrive at your session and they cry the whole time you're trying to capture some moments on camera. That's life. Children are the most unpredictable blessing of photography and you worked with what you get. You still get some winners and shots of Mom and Dad lovingly looking at each other despite the bit of chaos. Miracles happens. Like, little Emma finally warming up for quick family shot after watching my son playing in the snow. Or, getting perfect ones of Mom and Dad while their babies were still sleeping. You can't even tell the weather was 32 by the look on their faces! Parenthood is tough but it's worth it. I wouldn't trade the memories, learning, and growth for a second. Location: The Riverwoods - Provo, UT
My dear friends wanted to celebrate the arrival of their new baby girl by taking some updated gorgeously Fall pictures. The backdrop of the burgundy vine wall was the perfect accent and pop of color. Despite it being cold, we had fun and enjoyed the pockets of sunshine that we found. Little miss was more than willing to give me her cheesiest grin while I was dying of laughter behind my camera. I walked away knowing how much this little family loves each other. Location: Salem Pond, UT
This was my first referral session and my first time at Salem Pond. Thank you to whomever lives in Lehi that suggested RTP to this cute family. I enjoyed meeting the Bakkers on this freezing and windy day. It just so happened that I had left our Batman blanket in the car so little Blake was able to stay warm in between shots. It was a funny process of rip the blanket off, take a bunch of pictures, and then hurry back to the warmth. The Bakkers were real troopers! |
