Location: Sandy Beach - Spanish Fork, UT
With a Saturday full of wonderful General Conference sessions, I snuck in this beautiful family for their photo session along the empty shoreline of Utah Lake. We were a little exposed to the sun on the beach so we had to take full advantage when the clouds served as a blockade. It was a major blessing that there were huge clouds that day. To add some fun contrast, I also added new clouds into the background using Photoshop. New skill unlocked!

That was fun to see my picture on display for others to see. My family and I also made it a day to play in the water and enjoy the Utah Lake Festival. Even though I didn't win anything, I am proud of myself for entering and exposing my photography business. For next year, I've learned what the judges are wanting. We'll see what picture I end up taking.
Here are my potential entries for the 2016 Utah Lake Photography Contest taken during a shoot I did for my sister-in-law's graphic design website. Please help me out by voting for which one you think has a good chance of winning. 1, 2, or 3!
Location: Utah Lake - Vineyard, UT
My sister-in-law was in need of some updated pictures for her Graphic Design portfolio website. She picked the perfect location to bring out her golden hair and show her love for the outdoors. I also learned how to get a nice solar flare effect per her request. I love shooting for family because they're fun and we laugh a lot! And, man, I am loving that the weather is perfect right now! |
