This was my first extended family session and I am so grateful it was with a family I love! We have best friends and family in this group and it was really enjoyable catching up and laughing. They reached out to me because I understood the dynamics of everyone in the group. Plus, it didn't hurt that I brought a little treat for all the kiddies for doing so well. Even though it was supposed to rain during our session, the weather gods smiled upon us and gave us the perfect overcast. I hope I get to do another large family like this again. I definitely learned a lot and surprised myself that I could be that on top of things. Now how about those baby blues on those babies!

Today's overcast was perfect for a quick session with my neighborhood buddy. He turns 8 soon and I took some pictures of him on the Provo City Center Temple grounds to celebrate his upcoming baptism into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I loved how excited and proud he was to be holding his new set of scriptures and sporting his cool CTR ring. Plus, the grounds of the temple are gorgeous! There are beautiful tulips everywhere! What beautiful blossoms! They were not there 2 weeks ago. Spring is a great time of year to start fresh. I think this was the perfect location to capture new beginnings and the start of bright things to come for this wonderful family. After a scary winter, with little Alice having a brain aneurysm, it's great to have everyone be full of smiles and loving on each other. Especially, if you throw in a couple of fake fart noises. And check out the Gray's gorgeous dog, Bane. He was so well-behaved. He should come over and teach my dog a thing or two. Location: Utah Lake - Vineyard, UT
My sister-in-law was in need of some updated pictures for her Graphic Design portfolio website. She picked the perfect location to bring out her golden hair and show her love for the outdoors. I also learned how to get a nice solar flare effect per her request. I love shooting for family because they're fun and we laugh a lot! And, man, I am loving that the weather is perfect right now! I was testing out my 50mm f/1.8 prime lens and I couldn't have asked for a prettier model. I added some deeper eye color and clarity to have her eyes pop a little more than they already were. Gorgeous is all I can say! |
