Location: In home
This family is amazing and I love them. I'm so grateful I was able to capture these pictures for them in the beautiful falling snow. Their porch was perfect for the big group of 20 we had and if you could have seen me, I was on top of a ladder to get level shots. This session embodied what this giveaway represents. A deserving family. Memories to treasure forever. I hope you all enjoy the heck out of your trip to Disney World!

Congrats to the Fowles for winning our family session giveaway. With Dad being a trauma surgeon and Mom being happily busy with 6 kids, it was a wonderful gift to make time for some long over due family pictures. Payson Canyon showed off her last hurrah of fall colors and they were the perfect touch to the plaid flannel everyone wore. Our 2019 Angela Smith Giveaway will be kicking off in November so keep a eye out and start thinking about families you know that are in need! Location: The Orchards - Provo, UT
The Ray family picked the perfect location to embrace each other and capture some memories. They said they hadn't had updated family pictures since their teens were little ones. I'm sure Mom and Dad will look back and be amazed at how fast time really does fly. In The Orchards, we had lovely golden light and happy faces. The fallen apples made me excited for Fall all over again! Location: The Orchards - Provo, UT
This extended family session said "Bring on Fall". We were able to get gorgeous lighting down in the Orchards and smiles (or at least eye contact) from the kids. I love the colors they wore and the loving look between Ceesa and Papa as they cuddle their grand-babies. Those are the pictures I live for! Location: Blacksmith Fork Canyon - Logan, UT
My clan and I spent a day up in Logan before meeting for the Thurston family's session scheduled later in the afternoon. We love Logan and wished we lived closer so we could visit, camp, and play more. Seconds into the canyon, we were in awe of how beautiful the location was. Snow hugging every bush and blanketing the ground. Snow is the perfect reflector to make skin glow. A photographer's heaven. But sometimes things don't go as you plan. Sometimes little ones fall asleep right before you arrive at your session and they cry the whole time you're trying to capture some moments on camera. That's life. Children are the most unpredictable blessing of photography and you worked with what you get. You still get some winners and shots of Mom and Dad lovingly looking at each other despite the bit of chaos. Miracles happens. Like, little Emma finally warming up for quick family shot after watching my son playing in the snow. Or, getting perfect ones of Mom and Dad while their babies were still sleeping. You can't even tell the weather was 32 by the look on their faces! Parenthood is tough but it's worth it. I wouldn't trade the memories, learning, and growth for a second. |
